The Alaska Department of Health and Social Services reported two new positive COVID-19 cases in their Monday update. That makes the total positive case count in the state 370. The total number of recovered patients, as of Monday’s update, stands at 263 out of the 370 total positive cases that have been reported. Both cases originated in Anchorage.
The number of active cases in the state, which takes the total positive case count and subtracts recoveries and fatalities, is 98. The active case-count has not been at 100 or higher since April 23.
The total number of tests conducted in the state thus far is 21,753.
These cases are reported using the state’s timetable of reporting counts: 12:00 a.m. until 11:59 p.m. on May 3.
The cumulative number of hospitalizations is 37. No new deaths were reported, leaving that total at nine.
