The 2014 and 2015 Board of Fish and Board of Game proposal booklets are now available online and will soon be mailed out.

Board of Fish Executive Director Glenn Haight said they encourage comments from the public before their October 15 and 16 meeting where they will discuss those proposals.

Haight: “The meeting is set up for four main subjects, it starts with Prince William Sound and goes to Southest and Yakutat crab, shrimp, and miscellaneous shellfish, Southeast and Yakutat fin fish, and the state wide dungeness crab, shrimp, and miscellaneous shellfish. Those are the big areas and regions slash species they’ll be tackling this year and when you look at the proposal book you’ll see that the proposals we recieved from folks around the state will be organized essentially for those meetings.”

Any public comments must reach the offices no later than two weeks before the scheduled meetings. The Board of Game is not scheduled to meet until January of 2015
