Over 1,000 Kenai Peninsula hunters were announced as winners today in the drawings for Alaska Department of Fish and Game’s 2016-2017 draw hunts.

Ken Marsh, spokesman for the Department…

Marsh: “They pretty much include the gamut, everything from muskox to moose, caribou, dall sheep, mountain goat, elk, brown bear, pretty much the whole nine yards in different game management units in Alaska across the state.”

The winners announced Friday morning are for the draw hunt applications that were received from November 1 – December 15 period.

Marsh says there are a couple of ways to find out if you won a permit for any hunts applied for.

Marsh: “You can go to the ADF&G Facebook page if you’d like, we have a post there at the top, people can just click on the link and it’ll take them right there. Or go to the ADF&G homepage on the web and it’s also front and center there. Just click the link, it’ll have a spot for you to plug in your name and it’ll show you the results.”
