Much to the dismay of those still out hunting for the 2023 KSRM Easter Egg, it has been found!
Andrew and Callie McLay returned the winning egg to the KSRM studios on Friday to claim their $2,000 prize.
Andrew McLay described where the egg was hidden;
“It was at Pillars Boat Launch, there off Silver Salmon. Between Kenai and Soldotna.”
Callie McLay talked about searching for the egg at the boat launch;
“We had to trek across the snow for a while and posthole a few times and then it was underneath the platform. And I had to like slide down sideways under there and get on my hands and knees and look around.”
The KSRM Easter Egg was hidden under the walking platform at the top of the boat launch at Pillars.
This was their very first win, in having participated in the KSRM Easter Egg hunt for several years but Andrew got close;
“I’ve lived here my entire life and I’ve been close one year like touched it, but didn’t get it.”
The winners offered some tips on how they found the KSRM Easter Egg, “Look hard!“
When asked what they are going to do with their $2,000 prize, Andrew said: “Go out for lunch because we’re hungry.”
Congratulations to this year’s winners! Mark your calendars for the 2024 KSRM Easter Egg Hunt.
