The Homer Police Department reports that they received multiple 911 phone calls reporting a single vehicle accident near the Homer Middle School on the Sterling Highway on Tuesday night around 10:00 p.m. Responding units discovered a GMC truck spun out of control, left the roadway, and struck a power and light pole.
There were four occupants of the vehicle. Two were identified as 19-year-old males, one 19-year-old female and a 25-year-old male. Two of the occupants were ejected from the vehicle during the collision.
25-year-old Drew Brown of Homer was one of those ejected from the vehicle and transported to South Peninsula Hospital at 3:00 a.m. where he was pronounced dead from his injuries. No other occupants in the crash sustained life-threatening injuries.
Officers are continuing their investigation into the circumstances causing the collision.
