Despite the lack of much snow, this weekend marks the beginning of the 39th Annual Peninsula Winter Games.
Michelle Glaves with the Soldotna Chamber of Commerce said the festitivities begin Saturday, January 24.
She said there will be around 20-30 activities for kids throughout the day and lunch and dinner are also free.
Along with the Peninsula Winter Games, the Kenaitze Indian Tribe’s Native Youth Olympics will begin at 5:45 pm Friday, January 23rd at the Kenai Middle School and the public is invited to attend.
