The Alaska Department of Health and Social Services reported six new cases of COVID-19 on Wednesday. The total positive case count in the state now stands at 335.
Four of the new cases are in Anchorage, one in Juneau, one in Wasilla.
These cases are reported using the state’s timetable of reporting counts: 12:00 a.m. until 11:59 p.m. on April 21.
Of the new cases, two are male and four are female. Three are under the age of 10; one is aged 10-19; and two are aged 20-29.
The total number of recovered patients, as of Wednesday’s update, stands at 196 out of the 335 total positive cases that have been reported. That marks 28 new recoveries. The number of active cases is currently 130.
No new hospitalizations have been reported, leaving that total at 36. There were also no new deaths reported, leaving that total at nine.
