8 New Positive COVID-19 Cases Reported, 7 New Recoveries

The Alaska Department of Health and Social Services reported eight new cases of COVID-19 on Tuesday. The total positive case count in the state now stands at 329.

 

Four of the new cases are in Anchorage, two in Juneau, one in Eagle River, and one in Ketchikan.

 

Of the new cases, six are male and two are female. One is aged 10-19; four are aged 20-29; two are aged 50-59; and one is aged 60-69.

 

These cases are reported using the state’s timetable of reporting counts: 12:00 a.m. until 11:59 p.m. on April 20.

 

The total number of recovered patients, as of Tuesday’s update, stands at 168 out of the 329 total positive cases that have been reported. That marks seven new recoveries.

 

No new hospitalizations have been reported, leaving that total at 36. There were also no new deaths reported, leaving that total at nine.
