The Soldotna City Council as well as a slew of police officers looked on as Soldotna Police Officer Daniel Brozek was sworn in last night.

“I think he’s got a really great attitude. Moved up here from Minnesota, he seems to be fitting in here very well, so, I’m excited to see how his training and stuff progresses. So, It’s neat to have somebody fill one of those spots.”
He also said Brozek fills one of two spots the Soldotna Department has had open for most of this year.
“We’re still looking for one more. We’ve had applications out, that’s closed. So, we’re looking at the applications of the people that have put in, we’ll see, hopefully we can get another person. The next academy that both these people have to go to starts February 22nd. So we’re looking to get 2 people into that academy in Sitka”
