9 New Positive COVID-19 Cases

The Alaska Department of Health and Social Services reported nine new positive COVID-19 cases in their Friday update. That makes the total positive case count in the state 364. Five cases originated in Anchorage, one in Eagle River, one in Homer, one in Anchor Point, and one in North Pole.

 

The total number of recovered patients, as of Friday’s update, stands at 254 out of the 364 total positive cases that have been reported. That marks two new recoveries.

 

The total number of tests conducted in the state thus far is 20,325‬ which is an increase of 763 tests from the Thursday update.

 

These cases are reported using the state’s timetable of reporting counts: 12:00 a.m. until 11:59 p.m. on April 30.

 

No new hospitalizations have been reported, leaving that total at 36. There were also no new deaths reported, leaving that total at nine.
