The Borough’s Marijuana Task Force has had two members resign over the past two months, but the group won’t be looking to fill those spots.
Task Force Chair Leif Abel…
Abel: “Rather than going through the rigorous process of getting two more seats appointed, we’ll stick with the members we have and move forward with what matters which is moving forward on coming to a resolution on some of these issues because the state is moving forward with their timeline.”
Shane Monroe submitted his resignation via email to the task force before Thursday night’s meeting, citing a job opportunity that requires him to move out of state.
Before the group’s December 10 meeting, Amy Fenske resigned from the task force to take a job in the Borough’s legal department.
According to last year’s ordinance that created the group to provide recommendations, the task force will disband around June 2016 unless a new motion is passed to extend it.
