Based on points earned in the 2015-16 Besh Cup Racing Series in Nordic skiing, three area skiers have qualified for national and international competition as members of the Team Alaska Junior National team and Team Alaska for the 2016 Arctic Winter Games.
Addison Gibson from Kenai Central High School and Sadie Fox of UAA and graduate of Soldotna High School, have both qualified to the 2016 Team Alaska Nordic Ski Team; they will join Kenai’s Travis Cooper, who has prequalified.
SoHi’s Koby Vinson will ski for Team Alaska at the 2016 Arctic Winter Games in Nuuk, Greenland scheduled for March 6th – 11th.
