General Motors has issued a recall for over 426,000 2015-2016 pick-ups and police SUVs in the U.S. because of potentially loose brake pedals that can make stopping difficult, if not impossible.
The recall is related to 2015-2016 Chevrolet Silverado 2500 HD pickups, Tahoe Police Pursuit Vehicles, and GMC Sierra 2500 HD pickups.
The problem is with a nut on the brake pedal’s pivot point that can loosen, allowing the pedal to move in any direction.
No accidents or injuries related to the problem have been reported so far.
GM has not specified a repair schedule yet.
