Two mobile homes were completely destroyed and a family pet was killed in a residence fire Monday night.
At around 9:15 pm on February 15, a neighbor reported a residence fire to Central Emergency Services.
Upon arrival approximately ten minutes later, CES crews observed two mobile trailers, connected by a lean-to, fully engulfed in flames.
The neighbor had not known if anyone was home when they reported the fire so crews searched the homes and found no one.
Emergency personnel focused on firefighting efforts and while the fire was under control within ten minutes, the trailers were not able to be saved.
The property owner arrived on-scene during the firefighting efforts, and confirmed no one was home at the time of the fire, although their dog passed away as a result of the blaze.
The value of the structures burnt is approximately $15,000 and the contents lost inside were valued at around $10,000.
The cause of the fire is still being investigated and is unknown at this time.
