The City of Soldotna is working on their 5-year Capital Improvements Plan and kicked off the efforts with a city council work session Wednesday night.
Soldotna City Engineer Kyle Kornelis…
Kornelis: “The five year CIP is really just a long-range planning and budgeting document. So it’s one of the guidance documents that we’ll look at when we do establish a capital budget where we really do appropriate monies toward certain projects but at this point it’s kind of a planning document.”
Council members reviewed the 2016 draft last night but did not offer any specific amendments to the plan.
Kornelis: “It’s still in kind of a draft form, we’ll continue to present it to boards and commissions and refine it until it lands back with council in the form of a resolution.”
The Soldotna Airport Advisory Board’s April 21 meeting is the next scheduled review of the plan.
