The Kenai soccer teams downed SoHi on the Stars home turf on Thursday, recording a pair of wins over their Northern Lights Conference rivals.
Kenai Girls 3 – SoHi 1
The Kardinal girls downed SoHi 3-1 with three different girls adding to the Kardinals scoring. Cori Holmes, Mikaela Pitsch and Hayley Maw scored for the Kardinals; Abi Tuttle recorded SoHi’s lone goal. The Kardinals improve 3-0 on the season.
Kenai Boys 2 – SoHi 0
The Kardinal boys improve to 3-0 with a 2-0 shutout of the Soldotna boys in NLC action. An own goal scored by the Stars and a Luke Beiser goal for Kenai accounted for all of the games scoring. SoHi drops to 4-1 on the season.
Homer Girls 4 – Nikiski 0
The Mariners shutout Nikiski 4-0 in Northern Lights Conference play.
Homer Boys 4 – Nikiski 1
The Mariner boys outscored Nikiski 4-1.
