The Soldotna Star girls track team raced to a second team invitational track meet title in two weeks, outpointing the field at the Homer Invitational Track and Field Meet. The Kodiak boys dominated the boys side of the event.
Homer Invitational: Girls Top Results
SoHi’s Daisy Nelson continued her run as the top sprinter in Region III 4A with victories in the 100M dash and 400M dash, and Nelson also anchored the SoHi 4X100M Relay to a victory.
The SoHi girls depth attributed to 12 top-three event finishes and 120.5 team points.

The Kodiak boys dominated the team scoring; recording seven event championships.
Billy Alcade topped all sprinters with victories in the 100M and 200M. Kodiak also took 1st-2nd in the 1600M and 3200M.
SoHi’s Levi Michael won the 800M and SoHi won the 4X400M Relay with Michael, Aaron Swedburg, Emmanuel Van Hout and Preston Weeks.

Homer Invitational Pentathlon Results
The Homer Invitational held an invitational, pentathlon event with athletes competing in 100M or 110M hurdles, 800M, high jump, long jump and shot put.
Kenai’s Josh Jackman recorded the highest point total for the boys’ pentathlon with 2,694 points. Kenai’s Ross Hanson finished second with 2,294. Grace Christian’s Annie Vanderweide recorded 2,349 for the girls’ pentathlon title; Kenai’s Katie Kilfoyle finished third.
