Two men were rescued by the Alaska Rescue Coordination Center from the west side of the Cook Inlet Friday night after being unable to locate camp.
On May 20 at about 8:43 pm, Soldotna based Alaska State Troopers received a report of an emergency locator transmission from Blockade Glacier area of the Cook Inlet, approximately across from Nikiski.
The report stated that two men, a guide and his client, were nearly hypothermic and unable to find camp.
The Alaska Rescue Coordination Center deployed a helicopter and located the two males, 43-year-old Tedd Goth of Fairbanks and 38-year-old Brandon Lovejoy of Juneau.
Both men were transported via helicopter to Providence Alaska Medical Center in Anchorage to be treated for the onset of hypothermia.
They are expected to fully recover.
