Justin Montgomery tossed a one-hitter on Sunday in a 1-0 victory over the Mat-Su Miners. Montgomery took a no hitter into the ninth inning and allow one hit with two outs in the ninth. Montgomery struck out seven batters, walked two (both were erased trying to steal second) and commanded the strike zone. Ryan Lillie recorded a save retiring the final batter with a strikeout. Final Score: Oilers 1 – Miners 0
Oilers 4 – Miners 0: Saturday
Billy Oxford recorded a three-hit shutout of the Miners on Saturday; the Oilers topping the Miners 4-0. A solo home run by Jon Washam and a three run, fourth inning accounted for the Oilers scoring.
