Governor Bill Walker has appointed Glennallen resident Karen Linnell to the Alaska Board of Game.
The lifelong subsistence hunter has worked for over a decade on fish and game management issues in her region. Linnell is also a board member for Ahtna, Incorporated, the Executive Director of the Copper River-Ahtna Inter-Tribal Resource Conservation District, and Chair of the Wrangell-St. Elias Subsistence Resource Commission. She has also served on the Copper River Basin Fish and Game Advisory Committee for over eight years.
The Alaska Board of Game consists of seven members serving three-year terms. Members are appointed by the Governor and require confirmation by the Alaska Legislature.
