The 30th Anniversary Tustumena 200 Sled Dog Race, barring any unforeseen issues, will finally run in 2017.  The Tustumena 200 has been forced to cancel for four-straight seasons due to weather and trail conditions; 2017 will see the dog teams back on the trail for the 200-mile event.

The T-200 runs from the Start/Finish area in Kasilof into the Caribou Hills to Freddie’s Roadhouse, on to McNeil Canyon School checkpoint and back to the Kasilof Start/Finish line.  Race day is scheduled for Saturday, January 28th, with the lead teams usually finishing in mid-afternoon on Sunday, January 29th.

Race Start: 11:00 a.m. Saturday

Race Start/Finish Line:  Mile 112 Sterling Hwy
