KSRM News has confirmed reports of a three-vehicle accident with injuries on the David Douthit Veterans Memorial Bridge in Soldotna. The accident occurred just after 11am Wednesday morning.
CES Captain Terry Bookey says, one person was transported to Central Peninsula General Hospital with non-life threating injuries.
Traffic was reduced to one lane traffic. Motorists are asked to drive with caution and use alternative routes.
Soldotna Police say the accident occurred when a vehicle pulled onto the Sterling Highway and didn’t yield to a vehicle already on the road. The second vehicle tried to pass the first, but they collided and were pushed into the center lane where a third vehicle was waiting to turn. That vehicle was then pushed into a fourth which was traveling in the northbound lane.
