Nordic Skiers Battle Abundant Snow At Kenai Klassic

Author: Coach Dan Gensel |

Lack of snow was not an issue at the 2017 Kenai Klassic, held on the Kenai Golf Course.

Skiers competed in a combined classic/skate format event with the girls completing an 8.8 kilometer course and the boys a 10K course.  Each skier raced a classic leg, changed gear in a transition area and skied a skate leg.

Kenai’s Ithaca Bergholtz and Soldotna’s Josh Shuler turned in the fastest combined times in their respective races.
