The Soldotna Stars baseball team dropped a non-conference pairing with Wasilla and downed Houston in Southcentral Conference action in the Valley.
SoHi 9 – Wasilla 12
The Soldotna Stars fell 12-9 to the Warriors, allowing three runs in the eighth inning as Wasilla broke an 8-8 tie. The Stars lead early with a three-run first inning; however, Wasilla posted six runs in the bottom of the first. The Stars tied the game in the fifth, only to allow a four-run inning to the Warriors. Final Score; Wasilla 12 – SoHi 9.
SoHi 17 – Houston 15
The Stars rallied for a 17-15 victory over Houston in Southcentral Conference baseball action in Houston. Trailing 15-5 to the Hawks, the Stars scored 12 unanswered runs for the victory. The Stars recorded 20 hits for the contest.
