High school baseball and softball advance to conference tournaments with the Southcentral Conference baseball tournament scheduled for Thursday-Saturday in Palmer and the Northern Lights Conference softball tournament scheduled for Friday and Saturday in Homer.
The baseball conference tournament will qualify two teams to the ASAA Baseball State Championships, baseball has only one classification. The softball conference tournament will qualify two teams to the ASAA Small School Softball Championships, softball is divided into two classifications for state softball tournaments. 2017 is first season to incorporate a conference tournament to determine state qualifiers for the NLC.
