Oilers Close Road Swing With Loss To Miners

The Oilers finish a four-game series against the Mat-Su Miners with an 8-3 loss to the Miners on Tuesday at Herman Brothers Field in Palmer.

The Oilers split the series two wins and two losses.

 

Miners 8 – Oilers 3

A three-run, seventh inning for the Oilers proved all the offense for the Peninsula team, as the Oilers fall 8-3 to the Miners.  Benny Wanger opened the inning with solo home run.

The Mat-Su Miners scored one in the first, three runs in the second, two in the fifth and a pair in the late innings for an eight run effort.

 

Oilers Home Stand: Thursday – Saturday @ Coral Seymour Memorial Park

The Oilers open their final regular season series on Thursday, July 27 at Coral Seymour Memorial Park, hosting the Chugiak-Eagle River Chinooks.

Game time is scheduled for 6:00 p.m.

 

Friday, July 28th, the Oilers and Chinooks will play a doubleheader with game one scheduled for 4:00 p.m.

Saturday, July 29th, the Oilers and Chinooks play a 2:00 p.m. contest for the Oilers final regular season home game.
