Junior golfers from Soldotna, Kenai, Nikiski and a pair who grew up on Peninsula golf recorded top finishes at the 2017 Alaska Junior Golf Championships.
The tournament’s second round was hosted at the Creek Course at Moose Run in Anchorage on Tuesday. Combined totals for the two-day event determined winners in six divisions.
The top score for the Alaska Junior Golf Championships was carded by Katelin Richards, formerly of Soldotna and now living in Anchorage. Katelin shot an 83 and 79 for a two-day total of 162. Katelin won the M 13-15 Division, topping sister Anika Richards, who recorded the third-best overall score of 167.
Katelin also recorded the best single round of 79 and best nine-hole score of 36!
