North Star Conference hockey battles on Friday night resulted in Kenai and SoHi falling to conference foes by matching 6-2 scores; the Kards downed by Palmer and the Stars dropping a contest to Wasilla.
Wasilla 6 – SoHi 2
The Stars fell behind 3-0 in the second period before netting their first goal by Jose Montague. SoHi added a power-play goal in the third by Wyatt Medcoff. Goalie McKenzie Powell recorded 29 saves.
Palmer 6 – Kenai 2
The Kardinals scored a first period goal by Levi Mese and a second period goal by Jordan Knudsen; however, surrendered six goals on 34 shots by the Moose. Kenai goalie Josh Tree turned away 28 shots.
