Kenai & SoHi Hockey Continues Grueling Schedule With Home Series Against Anchorage Opponents

Following a three-game series in the Valley in North Star Conference hockey for both Kenai and SoHi, and an NSC contest for SoHi on Tuesday; both teams continue a demanding stretch of the hockey season with three games against Anchorage opponents scheduled for Thursday – Saturday, January 18-20.

 

West, East and Dimond travel to the peninsula to face Kenai, SoHi, and Homer.

 

The Stars, will play seven games in 10 days by Saturday night; Kenai, six games in 10 days.  This week’s contests against Anchorage schools are non-conference pairings with the SoHi games played at the Soldotna Regional Sports Complex and the Kardinals games at the Kenai Multi-Purpose Arena.

Thursday, January 18

SoHi 0 vs East 5  

The SoHi scoring woes continued on Thursday night as the East Thunderbirds held the Stars without a goal for a 5-0 East, non-conference victory.  The Stars have managed only two goals in the last four games, while allowing 30 goals.

Kenai 1 -West 6 

Aiden Milburn scored Kenai’s only goal with assists from Levi Mese and Matt Hagel.

Homer 3 – Dimond 4

The Mariners put a scare into Dimond; however, Homer cae up short in a 4-3 Lynx victory.

 

Friday, January 19

HK: SoHi vs Dimond @ SRSC     5:45 p.m.      No broadcast

HK: Kenai vs East @ Kenai Ice      7:00 p.m.         No broadcast

 

Saturday, January 20

HK: SoH i vs West @ SRSC     4:45 p.m.     No broadcast

HK: Kenai vs Dimond @ Kenai Ice       3:00 p.m.            No broadcast
