Alaska State Troopers were advised to a report of burglary at an Anchor Point residence off Cottonwood Lane on February 11.
According to the online trooper dispatch, an investigation found the residence was a seasonal residence and it and the garage on the property had been entered at least three times over the course of a month. Through investigation and assistance from community members, Cimmaron Tangman, 43 of Anchor Point, and Dellan Vanbuskirk, 32 of Anchor Point, were identified as persons who had entered the buildings at separate times and stole items.
Troopers on Tuesday observed a vehicle parked at the Whiskey Gulch Beach access that is frequently driven by Cimmaron Tangman, 43 of Anchor Point. Tangman had an active arrest warrant for Burglary 1st, Burglary 2nd, and Theft 2nd. Troopers walked down to the beach and contacted Tangman at a camper. He was arrested and transported to the Homer Jail.
Charges of burglary and theft have been sent to the Kenai District Attorney Office for review on Vanbuskirk.
