The Nikiski Bulldog girls capped their 3A state basketball tournament run with a Saturday victory over the Bethel Warriors 53-46 in the ASAA 3A Girls State Basketball Championships fourth-place contest.

The Bulldogs opened with a flourish in the 4th-place game against Bethel scoring 17 first-quarter points and Nikiski never trailed in the 53-46 victory over the Warrriors. Nikiski lead 30-20 at the half and 36-30 to start the fourth quarter.
Bethany Carstens lead the Bulldogs with 26 points and Kelsey Clark added seven points for Nikiski.
The Bulldog girls close tournament play with a 2-1 record and Bethany Carstens was named to the 3A State ALl-Tournament Team.
