The 2018 KSRM Easter Egg, worth $2000, has been found!
The Henley family, (Harold, Julie, Melaine, Cody, and Jordan) found the KSRM Easter Egg, Saturday March 24th at about 12:30p.m. in a post near Pickle Hill Road.
Harold Henley: “Decided to go down to Pickle Hill, we walked all the way down. We walked right past it. Kept going and on our way back we kinda seen one of the posts down there had a cap on it that the other ones didn’t. My son ran over through the snow and jumped up there and pulled the bolt out of the cap, cap came off and I walked up and we looked down into the post and we didn’t see it. He handed me the cap and I looked down in the cap and there it was.”
The family held onto the KSRM Easter Egg for over a week, for an opportunity at a little extra prize money if they returned Friday afternoon.
The clue that clicked this year and led the family to the egg location…
Harold Henley:”Well one of the clues was that it was two way trail that wasn’t used anymore. And that was the only trail I could think of that was a two way trail that wasn’t used. I was thinking of a highway, a two way highway something like that.”
With that clue, The Henley’s were able to locate the 50th Annual KSRM Easter Egg.
The Henley family has been participating in the KSRM Easter Egg Hunt for many years.
Julie Henley: ” We look every year. Well I grew up here, so pretty much since you guys started the competition. Probably the last 25 years.”
KSRM’s Bryce Stanton asked Harold and Julie what they planned on using the $2000 prize for…
Harold & Julie Henley: “Going to give the kids a little bit of it for being out and helping and there’s always bills to pay. So just bills and nothing fun? Oh were going to go out, we might go to McDonalds tonight.”
