The Soldotna boys soccer team notched a divisional win over the Houston Hawks on Wednesday at SoHi, shutting-out Houston 9-0 in non-conference play. SoHi improves to 2-4 overall and 2-1 against teams in the Northern Lights Conference with wins over Palmer and Houston; loss to Colony.
Eli Sheridan recorded a three-goal, hat trick to lead the Stars. Alex Montague added a pair of goals and single goals were scored by Ethan Bott, Cody Quelland, Luke Trammell, and Christian Hames. Hunter Woodward recorded a shutout in goal for the Stars.
Kenai Boys in Southeast
The Kenai Kardinal boys open a three-game series in Southeast Alaska with a Thursday match against Juneau Douglas in Juneau. Friday, Kenai plays Thunder Mountain in Juneau and then travels to Ketchikan on Saturday to battle the Ketchikan Kings.
