The tournament pairings and opening round match-ups are set for the 2018 Top of the World Series for the post-season of the Alaska Baseball League.
The Mat-Su Miners (27-17) earn the #1 seed with the ABL’s best regular season record. The Miners will host a first-round, best of three series against the #4 seed Chugiak-Eagle River Chinooks (18-26). The Miners-Chinooks series begins at 6 p.m. Wednesday at Hermon Brothers Field in Palmer.
The #2 seed Anchorage Bucs (25-19) will host the #3 seed Peninsula Oilers (23-21) in a best of three series beginning at 7 p.m. on Wednesday at Mulcahy Stadium in Anchorage.
The winners of the Top of the World Series first round contests will advance to the championship, best of three round which will be hosted by the higher seeded team. The championship round begins on Saturday, August 4th.
