The final race in the eight-race Soldotna Cycle Series is scheduled for Thursday, August 30 on the Tsalteshi Trails at Skyview Middle School.
The Soldotna Cycle Series final event will feature a 10k pursuit race, where each racer gets a staggered start based on their times throughout the series. Registration begins at 5:45 p.m. and the first wave of racers hit the trails at 6:10 p.m. Racers will be started in reverse-order of their average gap from the leader (math provided).
The Gauntlet: September 8th
The race formerly known as Psychocross returns in 2018 as The Gauntlet. The Gauntlet is a eight-checkpoint race where the riders decide their own route. Racing begins at 11 a.m. Saturday, September 8th.
The goal of The Gauntlet is for the riders to complete as many laps as possible within the 3-hour time limit. All laps or partial final laps must be finished by 2 p.m. Riders returning after the time limit will default to their last, completed lap.
