Homer scored six goals in the first period, added four in the second and two in the third period; while holding Kenai to a single goal in the second and a goal in the third period. Tyler Gilliland lead Homer with four goals.
The Mariners stand at 1-0 in conference play and 3-3-1 overall; Kenai falls to 0-1 in conference action and 0-7 overall.
