The Soldotna Stars routed Houston 9-2 in Railbelt Conference hockey action on Thursday at the Big Lake Recreation Center.
SoHi scored two goals in the first period, added four goals in the second and three goals in the third period. Galen Brantley III, Alex Montague and Skolnik recorded two goals apiece. McKenzie Powell recorded 17 saves in goal for the Stars.
Upcoming Schedule
Soldotna hockey closes their road trip at the Menard Arena in Wasilla against the Colony Knights on Friday. Kenai travels to the Valley for conference hockey games against Palmer and Houston on Friday and Saturday, January 11-12. The Kardinals play Palmer at the MTA Center in Palmer on Friday; then play Houston at the Big Lake Recreation Center on Saturday.
