On the road before a crucial home doubleheader in Northern Lights Conference basketball, the Soldotna Stars over-powered Homer in non-divisional games on Tuesday at Homer High School.
SoHi Girls 65 – Homer 25
The Star girls built a 42-6 lead at the half against the Mariners, en route to a 65-21 non-conference victory. Itu Tuasaula lead the Stars with 20 points.
SoHi Boys 55 – Homer 33
The SoHi boys connected on ten 3-pointers against the Mariners as SoHi downed Homer 55-33. Jersey Truesdell lead the Stars with 26 points, including five triples. Ray Chumley added 14 points.
SoHi vs Colony
The Soldotna Stars open Northern Lights Conference play on Friday with a two-day series against the Colony Knights at Soldotna High School. This series, originally scheduled for Colony High School, was rescheduled to SoHi following the November 30th earthquake.
