The hottest team in the Alaska Baseball League since the ABL All-Star weekend, the Anchorage Glacier Pilots, have forced a “winner-take-all” championship game against the ABL’s top regular season team, the Anchorage Bucs.

The best-of-three Top of the World Series championship round will play a third and final game following a game two 8-1 victory by the Pilots over the Bucs at Mulcahy Stadium on Monday night.

The winner of Tuesday’s showdown will claim the 2019 Top of the World title and the Alaska Baseball League championship.

The Anchorage Bucs won game one of the championship series 6-5 over the Pilots.  The Bucs advanced to the finals with a two games to one series against the Peninsula Oilers.  The Pilots advanced on a two-game sweep of the Mat-Su Miners.
