The high school football regular season opens in one week and with a little over a week of practice on the field, area high school football programs will take part in scrimmage days on Saturday, August 10th.
Kenai Scrimmage @ KCHS
The Kenai Kardinals are hosting peninsula schools Homer, Seward and Nikiski on Ed Hollier Field at KCHS beginning at 11 a.m. Saturday. Teams will take part in a controlled scrimmage with each team matching-up against the others for offensive and defensive rotations.
SoHi Scrimmage vs Chugiak @ SoHi
The Soldotna Stars welcome Division I Chugiak to a controlled scrimmage beginning at noon on Saturday on Justin Maile Field at SoHi.
Football Week One
The regular season for high school football opens with Friday Night Lights for the Soldotna Stars and Nikiski Bulldogs on the road; Kenai travels to Homer for a Saturday opener.
