CIA Sweeps Weekend Soccer: Ready For Borealis Tournament

The regular season for fall co-ed soccer closed with the Cook Inlet Academy soccer team recording a pair of victories and improving its standing for the upcoming Borealis Conference tournament.

 

CIA 8 – Holy Rosary Academy 0

The Eagles shut-out Holy Rosary 8-0 on the strength of a 4-goal effort by Isaac Johnson. Noah Castenholtz added a pair of goals, Annika Castenholtz and Tatum Rozak scored single goals.

CIA 5 – Lumen Christi 0

CIA recorded a second, straight shut out on Saturday in Kenai with a 5-0 win over Lumen Christi.  Noah Castenholz and Isaac Johnson each tallied a pair of goals and Linnaea Dohse added a single goal.

Cook Inlet opens tournament play on Thursday, October 3rd against Birchwood Christian School at 1:30 p.m. at the MTA Center in Palmer.
