The Kenai River Brown Bears Junior A hockey team opens its first home series of the 2019-20 hockey season on Friday, October 11th with game one of a three-game series against the Janesville Jets.
Kenai River hosts Janesville on Friday, Saturday and Sunday at the Soldotna Regional Sports Complex. Friday and Saturday games are scheduled for a 7:30 p.m. drop of the puck; Sunday’s start is set for 5 p.m.
The Kenai River Brown Bears currently stand at 4-2 in the Midwest Division of the North American Hockey League and stand in third in the division with 10 points, tied with the Fairbanks Ice Dogs and two points behind division leading Chippewa Steel. The Brown Bears dropped a pair of games to the Steel last weekend, falling 8-2 and 5-0 in Chippewa.
