Basketball tournaments fill the opening weekend for high school basketball with three invitational basketball tournaments on the central peninsula.
Craig Jung Kenai River Challenge Basketball Tournament @ Kenai Central High School
The Craig Jung Kenai River Challenge Basketball Tournament at Kenai Central High School is scheduled for Thursday through Saturday with girls and boys varsity teams from KCHS, Nikiski, Galena and Houston.
All games involving Kenai and Nikiski will be broadcast on ESPN 1140AM and streamed live at www.radiokenai.com
SoHi Powerade/Al Howard Tip-Off Tournament @ Soldotna High School
The SoHi Powerade/Al Howard Tip-Off Tournament at Soldotna High School is scheduled for Thursday through Saturday with boys varsity teams from SoHi, ACS, Homer and Eagle River and the SoHi girls playing a two-game series against Service High from Anchorage.
