Stars & Kards Hockey Teams On The Road For Three-Day Tours

On the road (and for Kenai in a plane) for three days of conference and non-conference hockey, the Soldotna Stars travel to the Valley and the Kenai Kardinals stop in Anchorage before heading to Juneau for high school hockey contests.

 

SoHi Hockey

The Stars open with a Railbelt Conference contest on Thursday at the Big Lake Arena facing the Houston Hawks,  SoHi shut-out Houston 7-0 in Railbelt play on SoHi’s home ice.  The Stars face-off against Palmer on Friday for another Railbelt showdown.  SoHi defeated Palmer 4-1 in earlier conference play.  The Stars close-out the road swing against Wasilla at the Brent Arena on Saturday in a non-divisional game against the Warriors.

Saturday, January 24

HK: SoHi vs Wasilla @ Brent Arena  3:30 p.m.   ESPN 1140AM and www.radiokenai.com

 

Kenai Kardinal Hockey

The Kenai Kardinal hockey team opens on Thursday at Ben Boeke Arena against Division I South Anchorage.  Kenai, 3-3-1 in Railbelt Conference play, travels to Juneau to face the Juneau hockey team which is 1-4 in the Railbelt.

HK: Kenai vs South @ Boeke Arena  4:30 p.m.

Friday, January 23

HK: Kenai @ Juneau  7:45 p.m.

Saturday, January 24

HK: Kenai @ Juneau  7:30 p.m.
