The Kenai Peninsula Borough School District Nordic Ski Championships, scheduled for Saturday, February 15th on the Tsalteshi Trails, will feature a mixed relay 4×2.5k Classic-Classic-Skate -Skate format with mixed teams.
Schools will compete with teams of two male and two female members skiing in no set order. Teams unable to fill a complete team may combine with other teams or individual skiers.
Format: Mixed Relay Classic Classic Skate Skate
Course: 2.5k Classic / 2.5k Skate
Time: 12:00 PM Classic Mass Start
Community Race: 1:00 self-time
Awards: 1:30 PM at the finish area. Awards for top two boy teams, top two girl teams (based on
individual gender times from your school): Individual awards for the top 5 teams members, and awards for the team’s 6 –10 members. Top male and female individual champions will be recognized for Classic and Skate.
