The Kenai Peninsula Borough School District has created free online webinars to support parents in their shift to remote learning for students. The webinars begin April 14.
After registering online for a seminar, parents will receive an auto-generated e-mail with a list of session choices along with the password needed to enter the virtual classroom. Plan for approximately 30-minutes for each session, followed by time for question-and-answer sessions.
Pegge Erkeneff, Director of Communications for the Kenai Peninsula Borough School District: “We’re launching webinars for parent support as students navigate remote learning, and so those will begin this week. That’s a brand new thing, they’re free, they’re 30-minutes long, and everybody can sign up through the website. On social media, there’s stories everywhere, and I e-mailed all of the families on Friday about that. After we do this week, well do a survey “
After the seminars have concluded, surveys will be sent out to see if additional seminars should take place. The current seminars, as scheduled, include the following:

Tips for creating schedules around school and home life.
