2 New Positive COVID-19 Cases Reported, 8 New Recoveries

The Alaska Department of Health and Social Services reported two new cases of COVID-19 on Monday. The total positive case count in the state now stands at 321.

 

Of the two new cases, one is a male in Palmer aged 30 – 39 while the other is a female in Chugiak aged 60 – 69.

 

These cases are reported using the state’s timetable of reporting counts: 12:00 a.m. until 11:59 p.m. on April 19.

 

The total number of recovered patients, as of Monday’s update, stands at 161 out of the 321 total positive cases that have been reported. That marks eight new recoveries.

 

No new hospitalizations have been reported, leaving that total at 36. There were also no new deaths reported, leaving that total at nine.
