The Alaska Department of Health and Social Services reported 13 new positive COVID-19 cases in their Thursday update, including seven in the Kenai Peninsula Borough. Two are in Homer, one in Kenai, one in Nikiski, and three are designated only as Kenai Peninsula Borough.
The number of active cases of COVID-19 patients in the state is 49. The active case-count has not been at 50 or higher since May 5. The total number of recovered patients, as of Thursday’s update, is now 366.
No new deaths have been reported, with that total remaining at ten fatalities.
The total number of tests conducted in the state thus far is 47,970, with 2,649 conducted in the Kenai Peninsula Borough.
These cases are reported using the state’s timetable of reporting counts: 12:00 a.m. until 11:59 p.m. on May 27.
