The Alaska Department of Health and Social Services reported eleven new positive COVID-19 cases in their Friday update, including five in the Kenai Peninsula Borough. Two cases are out of Homer, one out of Anchor Point, one from Nikiski, and one from a location in the borough with fewer than 1,000 residents.
The number of active cases of COVID-19 patients in the state is 134. The last time the active case count was as high was on April 13 when the tally was 139. There have been a total of 524 cumulative positive COVID-19 cases in Alaska, with 380 designated as recovered.
No new fatalities were reported, with that total remaining at ten.
A total of 60,990 tests have been administered in Alaska thus far, which includes 3,528 in the Kenai Peninsula.
These cases are reported using the state’s timetable of reporting counts: 12:00 a.m. until 11:59 p.m. on June 4.
