Burn Suspension Lifted For Kenai Peninsula

The Alaska Department of Natural Resources lifted the burn suspension effective 8:00 am Tuesday, July 7.

 

According to the release, moderating weather and precipitation experienced throughout the Kenai Peninsula, the burn suspension is no longer in effect.

 

All open debries burning requires a permit. Small-Scale Burn Permits can be obtained online and at local fire departments.

 

Alaska DNR reminds permit holders to follow the safe burning platform outlined in the permit.

 

To burn a brush pile larger that ten (10) feet in diameter and four (4) feet in height, a Large-Scale Burn Permit is required.
